Once we've imagined our consumer on the green compensated budget we eliminate that portion of the budget we know she won't choose. As we did before, we recognize that any points lying underneath her original budget constraint can be ruled out as possible choices. This is because we already know these are less pleasing to her than point A, so we shade that region then darken the associate portion of her compensated budget

    The only portion of the compensated budget available is up and to the left of point A so we know her consumption of Ramen will be less than RO
