There are many different combinations of Capital and Labor with which the firm can produce 25 chairs. The graph to the right shows a third such combination, 11 units of Capital and 6 workers.

    If we graph all the possible methods this firm could use to produce 25 chairs we get a curve like the orange one to the right labeled 25. A curve such as this is called an isoquant because it represents all the combinations of inputs which produce the same (iso) level of output (quant).
