- MAKE UP YOUR OWN PRACTICE QUESTIONS
- This isn't trying to psych-out your prof (though maybe that's
not a bad idea either). It's a way of giving yourself more practice,
finding your weak spots, and reducing the chance that you'll be
surprised by anything on the next test, or on the final.
- THINK ABOUT HOW ECON APPLIES TO YOUR LIFE
- Let's face it, you won't be cool if you start talking about econ
at a party, but you will be amazed at how much it helps if you
just think about the basic concepts as you go through your day.
Things like opportunity cost, marginal utility, marginal cost
(you'll learn what these mean) turn out to apply to many situations.
Economics isn't so much a body of knowledge, as a way of understanding
and analyzing. Practice it, rather than learn it, until it's easy.
