As firms exit the industry remaining firms find that demand for their product is increasing and becoming slightly more inelastic as the number of competitors falls until profits are again zero. We show this as a shift to D2 and MR2. The new long run equilibrium price is P3 and quantity is Q3.

The new long run equilibrium is characterized by higher prices (made necessary by the increased wages) and fewer firms.
