The income elasticity of toothpaste should be between 0 and 1, probably fairly close to zero. Even very wealthy people don't celebrate their wealth by loading on the extra toothpaste when they brush their teeth (at least I don't think they do). It is clearly not inferior either, as income increases people don't typically brush less.
