The graph to the right is simply a set of axes with restaurant meals on the vertical axis and movies on the horizontal axis. We have illustrated the consumption bundle of 5 meals and 4 movies.

   Next we ask, how many movies would our consumer need to exactly compensate her if we take away one restaurant meal? The answer will give us the location of another point on our consumer's indifference curve.
