Our consumer will choose a bundle of soy burgers and tofu dogs that maximizes her utility. Let's suppose that she purchases 12 soy burgers and 10 tofu dogs in a week. We show this bundle on the graph to the right. We just picked this bundle as one possibility. Without knowing her preferences we can't predict which bundle she would purchase.

As always, we're interested in the effects of changes on behavior. In this case, we're interested in how our consumer's choices change when either her income or prices change.
