The graph to the right gives sufficient information to compute Total Variable Cost (TVC) for two different levels of output.

   When output is 30 we see from the height of the AVC curve that Average Variable Cost is 5. So, at this level of output TVC = 30 x 5 = 150

   At a higher level of output, 45, Average Variable Cost is also higher at 10. So when output is 45, TVC = 45 x 10 = 450
