Suppose the graph to the right represent the demand for tennis
balls. Tennis courts are clearly complements for tennis balls. If the fee for using tennis courts, or the
cost of tennis club memberships falls, the demand for tennis balls
increases to D2, as shown to the right.
The entire demand relationship for tennis balls changes because
the price of a complementary good changes.
